Two eras.
One legend.

At the foot of the Złota 44 tower will stand the Lotus Type 72 Formula 1 car in John Player Special livery, alongside three new Lotus models. And at the opening of the Lotus Warszawa showroom on Wirażowa 21 we will present the Evija Fittipaldi — a fully electric hypercar that is a direct tribute to that racing car. It is 1972 meeting the future — in the very heart of Warsaw.

The youngest
world champion.

The Lotus Type 72 is one of the most important cars in Formula 1 history — a revolutionary wedge shape, side-mounted radiators and inboard brakes. In 1972, in the black-and-gold John Player Special livery, the young Brazilian Emerson Fittipaldi won five of twelve races with it and claimed the world championship title. He was 25 years old — the youngest champion in F1 history, a record that stood for more than thirty years. Black and gold became the colours of victory.

03 — Tribute

Evija Fittipaldi.

Half a century later, Lotus paid tribute to that racing car. The Evija Fittipaldi is an electric hypercar in black and gold — exactly eight examples were made, as many as the Type 72 cars that were built. Each is hand-painted and finished with details that link the two eras.
